I bought a betta and he is in a cycled 3 and 1/2 gallon tank. I want to move him into a 10 gallon aquarium when it is cycled... I will be putting a cycle sponge filter in it... What's the best way to transfer him? I will make sure the temperature is the same and I'm assuming the water parameters will be the same since I'll be using dechlorinated tap water.
IDGAF ABOUT YOUR INTRO OR STAND JUST GET ME TO THE CATFISH INFO
Biggest one I’ve caught was 36”
Thanks i added some Jungle Val about 1 month ago and it seems to have a few new leaves but it's not sending out any runners. I do have rocks in my tank for my plecos and yo yo fish. Will it still send out runners if those are in there?
Fully submerged live plants have been a hassle for me. I understand the concept of balancing light, nutrients, and CO2, but dialing into that balance and maintaining it doesn't last. Then it's back to the aquarium store to buy more plants and try again. Considering that my plants grow so slowly, i doubt they do much for the nitrogen cycle. Respect to those who have an aquatic green thumb, but I haven't found it. If my current plants go the way of the previous plants, I'll switch to artificial. My aquarium is a 5.5 gallon with a betta, so I'll get some Fluval Betta Plants. They look great, are the right size for my aquarium, and are safe for my betta's fins. I can just take out the plants to clean them, rearrange them without worrying about them dying back, and I have the option of using an undergravel filter (I had a goid experience with UGFs many years ago). I'd like do try a riparium for a betta habitat, and I'll do live plants in that. I suspect that partially submerged, with most of the leaves above the water, will be much more successful.
Dude can't stay on subject........irritating. So, I can assume that my one and only Oscar is a male cus it has never laid any eggs.......
had a giant for 6 years and he got too big so i put him in my local pond. wonder how he’s doing
My cats try to eat my fish without a lid, so light is at water. What do you recommend that does NOT involve getting rid of cats or rearranging my situation to try to keep cats away.
I brought this today. I think it very good. Cleans well. Great attachments as well
y’all i had betta’s growing up as a kid but i feel i remember that they died quite often. like maybe within a couple months to a year. and now i’m an adult and i want to have a pet betta again. i got one from my aunty, he lasted a month with me and sadly passed away shortly after this last time i changed the water in his tank. i just bought a new a beta fish. i have ~about~ 2 gallons of water in his tank. i just put fresh tap water in it. i also bought this thing called “water conditioner for betta’s” and put the correct amount of drops in the tank. i have two colorful decorations in his tank. one is a fake rock he can hide in with colorful plants on it and the other is a brightly colored fake plant. his tank also has an LED light as one of the walls (the back wall) that can change color. and i’m gonna use a carbon filter in the tank. and i’m gonna wait overnight to add the fish to the tank. (for now he’s just gonna stay in the container the pet store had him in.) i’ve heard betta’s may need a heater in their tank but i live in Hawaii… and it’s summer rn. the “room temperature” water is already luke warm. it’s normally around 70°-80° here in Hawaii. so i don’t plan on putting a heater in the tank. is all of this okay for like a basic beta tank? ik most people get betta’s and just throw them in some bowl or vase with tap water and leave it at that and their fishes are fine for years but i wanna give my fish the best care i can. i don’t have a lot of money though so i’m just looking for the basics and bare minimum to make sure my fish is healthy and happy for as long as he shall live. any tips are appreciated!
29 G started to leak after 6 months, lucky was at home & lowered water by 2/3 . Not trusting this brand again. My 40 yr old acrylic tanks no problem.
As a water zodiac I love fish tanks and the bigger the tank the more I have love for fish it’s been that way since I was a kid I am too obsessed with fish
My tank has been running for about 3 weeks. Bought 1 guppy and it died. Going to try your methods. Thanks
I have a baby male Betta, and two male Balloon Mollies. I have an elevated glass jar with the Betta in the tank because I want it to be at the same temperature as the tank water. However, I’d like to put the fish all together. Do you think the Mollies would attack the Betta. He’s currently about 1 inch long, and just beginning to grow longer fins. I wish they could be together, so I don’t have to separate the tank once I do add the Betta in there.
Do you need a lid
Loserr alv baa
Thank s
My water is always green can I fix this with minimal money? I have blue decorative gravel. Can I fix this without removing the fish? I have no live plants. It's 10 gallons. I have a filter for a 10 gallon tank. I have one goldfish and 1 snail. I have no thermometer and I have an ammonia filter but I haven't used chemicals in the tank.
Can I just put the dirt in and sand and let the tank cycle once I add the bacteria to it?
I was just wait, the algae spread in my aquarium and after a month disapear
Longear Sunfish...Bout as cool as Green Texas Cichlid but more colors like a Discus.
Looks easy and necessary… I just bought one!
Can you tell me how to clean it I've got a clump from a tank i was gifted but don't want to put it in my tropical untill cleaned
As a beginner to plants in the fish tank. What and where can I buy a good less expensive light? And do I need to put any plant food that’s safe towards the fish?
Summery of this video: Since I won't sell them I don't think they're good at all. This fvcking guy is full of sht and only care about his wallet, I've seen few videos of him and as an intelligent person I can tell that this dude do not give sht about you.
My tank gets foggy offten and i dont understand why
Mine swims around my tank quite a bit, like 50-60% of the time. But it’s inhaling literally EVERYTHING. I can’t feed my Cory’s algae wafers this fish with inhale entire wafers, catfish pellets, bug pellets, shrimp pellets. I only feed once per day but his stomach is sooo distended, like abnormally large and I don’t know what to do, I obviously need to feed my fish but the Raphael downs everything I put in the tank. Even the regular fish food I’m putting in for the danios. I don’t think it’s dropsy or anything because he’s swimming at the bottom normally, hiding occasionally.
Genius!

I set up a 50 gal tank with six neon tetras. I did not cycle anything. I lost three fish. I began adding plants and a month later added six more tetras. The tank has been running for six years now. I have made mistakes but I think the biggest mistake was changing the water every week. I just top off now.
I simply can't grow mine with root tabs and liquid ferts. I had three huge swords a few years ago with no experience though. I wonder if the amazon sword I bought came with some kind of defect or fungus, maybe in the roots or something (is that posible in a plant?), because it was already ugly and dying when I bought it. I basically got scammed because I wanted a few amazon swords and they (the store I went to) gave me one tiny dying sword and a bunch of vallinseria.
Is this ok to use in a 10 gallon betta tank?
